About us

The High Energy Physics Scientific-Research Institute of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State Uni­ver­sity (HEPI-TSU) is a scientific-academic ins­ti­tution.

The main scientific work in the institute is undertaken in close collaboration with the international research organisations such as: The Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR)(Dubna, Russia), The European Organization for Nuclear Re­se­arch (Geneva, Switzerland), The Research Center Jülich (Jülich, Germany) and The Japan Proton Accelerator Research Complex (J-PARC).

As an academic organisation, institute maintains close connection with The Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences of Tbilisi State University. It is involved in preparation and realization of Master's and PhD programs in physics.

Institute is located in the gorge of the river Vere, nearby the TSU building N-10, in the direction of village “naphetvrebi”, 500 meters from the university rope-way.
